Bojan Golčar continues to create stories with his new photo series titled “Consequences”. He is staying true to his artistic approach, which is not as much an analysis of the motif, as it is a visual story, carrying an important message. His photos are impressive, aesthetic and invitingly dramatic. Negligent attitude to the environment, present in contemporary society, is terrifying as it shows the immature behaviour of individuals towards our healthy planet. With his new series, Bojan Golčar is trying to open people's eyes in the hope of not being too late to save the Earth. Future, being the greatest riddle, is impossible to guess or determine. However, theories exist, let them be true or not.
Golčar's futuristic photos are not revealing reasons but rather consequences of climate changes and urban air-polluting. He is presenting his vision, while future shall reveal the actual outcomes. Some of the pictures are populating ostensibly carefree people, seeming as they are not aware of already present changes affecting us. They do not see them, and they are not bothered.
In the sense of the doctrine of shock, the author altered contours, colours and applied scratches and stains to his final pictures. Man's radical impact on their habitat is mirroring in Bojan's radical post-production interventions. His series “Consequences” is solely his vision as nobody comes even close to dare to predict tomorrow's world, dying in front of our eyes. But one thing is certain: it is going to be different.
